Havana- Cienfuegos

After Breakfast, departure for Cienfuegos, known as the pearl of the South. Tour through its streets and avenues founded by the French. It is located in a wonderful bay, where is the larges coral of Cuba hitherto discovered, and baptized with the name of Notre Dame. Lunch included at local restaurant. Free time in Cienfuegos. Sunset walk ( weather conditions permitting). Accommodation in Cienfuegos. Night free.

Day 2

Cienfuegos- Trinidad 

Breakfast in the hotel. At 10:00 am, visit the Dolphinarium and interaction with dolphins ( Wednesday closed). Departure to Trinidad. Walking tour around Trinidad streets and avenues. Visit Plaza Mayor; Romantic Museum; the Church of the Holy Trinity; La Canchanchara bar and enjoy its typical welcome cocktail; also visit the Ceramic Workshop. Lunch included at local restaurant. After lunch, free time in the city. Accommodation in Trinidad. Free night.

Day 3

Trinidad- Valle de los Ingenios- Santa Clara- Havana/Varadero or Cayo Santa Maria

After breakfast, departure for Valle de los Ingenios. San Isidro de los Destiladeros which is one of the ancient mills of the Valle de los Ingenios, it is the most complete that has to come to our days, in addition ti the house of dwelling and a singular bell tower, are observed several remains of the other components of the mill and it's considered one of the sites of greater archaeological value of the valley. Lunch included at local restaurant. After lunch, the trip continues to Santa Clara. Visit Ernesto Che Guevara Square, a meeting place in honor of one of the most prominent and charismatic personalities in contemporary world  history, Also visit the Museum and the Memorial that bears his name.

The trip continues to Havana Varadero or Cayo Santa Maria for hotel extension.

Panoramic visit to the famous Hemingway’s bar La Bodeguita del Medio with lunch included. After lunch, panoramic bus tour along the exterior areas of the Revolution Museum, Central Park, Havana’s Grand Theatre and National Capitol. The trip continues to Hemingway’s bar Floridita and enjoy a traditional cocktail. Panoramic tour around the Malecon esplanade, which runs along Havana’s northern coast 7 km. long. Breakfast. Excursion in an air conditioning bus to Vinales Valley in Pinar del Rio, Cuba’s westernmost province, where world’s best tobacco is cultivated. Exotic landscape with royal palms, Cuba’s national tree. Visit to cigars’ factory Francisco Donatien. On the way to Vinales Valley visit to the typical tobacco farm Montesinos, learn about the local peasants’ life style, traditions, tobacco’ cultivation process and enjoy the hospitality of its people. Visit to the Indian Cave with the boating through the cave with stalactites and stalagmites along the underground river San Vicente. Typical country lunch is included in Mural de la Prehistoria restaurant. Stop at lookout point Mirador de los Jasmines to admire the splendorous view on Vinales Valley. Return to the hotel. Havana/ Guama/ Cienfuegos/ Trinidad

Breakfast. Departure to Cienfuegos. Visit to Fiesta Campesina farm to learn about the endemic flora and fauna of Peninsula de Zapata, the Americas’ largest wetland, Biosphere Reserve. Taste a typical cocktail. Visit to Guama Natural Park and its crocodile farm. Lunch in La Boca restaurant. Trip continues along the southern coast of Peninsula de Zapata, the battles’ scenery against North American invasions in Playa Larga and Playa Giron bays on 17 th of April, 1961. Arrival to Cienfuegos, known as the southern pearl, where the largest Latin America’s coral site Notre Dame was discovered. City tour along Cienfuegos’ main streets and avenues, the only city in America founded by French settlers under the Spanish crown and situated on the marvelous natural bay coasts and protected by Jagua fortress. Havana

Breakfast. Pick up at the hotel. Visit to the cultural project of Maykel Herrera, named the painter of children. Continuation of trip to Finca la Vigia, were Ernest Hemingway lived for almost 20 years and wrote his most famous novel, The Old Man and the Sea. Visit the town of Cojimar, a charming village once inhabited only by fishermen . Lunch included at local restaurant. The trip continues to El Floridita, restaurant-bar, known as the cradle of the daiquiri. Tasting of a Daiquiri included. Free afternoon.

Day 4

Holguin

Breakfast. Departure to the airport to take the flight to Holguin. Panoramic tour around the city, including La Loma de la Cruz, rising 261 meters above the sea level. Lunch included at local restaurant. Visit to the Battery Fernando VII in the town of Gibara, the first fortress built for the defense and shelter of the city in 1817. Return to Holguin. Day 5

Holguin- Santiago de Cuba

Breakfast. Departure for Santiago de Cuba. Panoramic tour around the city, the first capital of the island founded by the Spaniards conquistadors. Impregnated with history and music. Capital of the East and the birth place of the Son ( traditional music style) and the Cuban Revolution. Visit the Historic center, Cathedral Square, Cespedes Park and Diego Velazquez Museum. Visit San Pedro de la Roca Fortrees , where the museum of Piracy is located and has the title of World Heritage. Lunch included in local restaurant. After lunch, Visit the Santa Efigenia cemetery. Return to hotel . Night free.

Day 6

Santiago de Cuba- Guantanamo- Santiago de Cuba

Breakfast in the hotel, departure for Guantanamo. In transit, visit the French Tomb. The trip continues to Hotel Caimanera located in the village of the same name, where you can have a view of Guantanamo Bay from the hotel viewpoint. Creole lunch included at local restaurant. At sunsent, return to Santiago de Cuba, Accommodation and dinner included in the hotel.

Day 7

Santiago de Cuba- Cobre- Bayamo- Holguin

Breakfast. Departure for the Copper Sanctuary located in the center of the Sierra Maestra, 20 minutes of the city of Santiago and part of the historical pilgrimage of the Cuban people to visit The Basilica del Cobre.

The trip continues to Bayamo. Walking tour around the city, cultural capital of Cuba, known as the city of the national anthem. Walk around the cathedral of San Salvador de Bayamo where the National Anthem was sung for the fist time.

Lunch included in local restaurant. After lunch, departure for Holguin. Accommodation and dinner included at hotel. Night free.

Day 8

Holguin- Guardalavaca/ Cayo Coco/Havana

Camagüey/Bayamo/Santiago de Cuba
Breakfast. Departure to Santiago de Cuba. Transit visit to Bayamo city. Panoramic walking tour around the city center. Lunch in Royalton restaurant. Trip continues to Santiago de Cuba. Visit to the Virgin de la Caridad del Cobre Basilica and Sanctuary. Accommodation and dinner in the selected hotel. Free time.

Day 8

MONDAY
Santiago de Cuba

Breakfast. City tour in Cuba’s Hero City Santiago. Visit to Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, a true jewel of funerary art in Cuba and where the impressive mausoleum helds Jose Marti’s, the Cuba’s National Hero, remains. Panoramic visit to Antonio Maceo Revolution Square and 26 th of July Museum. Walking tour through the city center, Cespedes Square, visit to Diego Velazquez house, then along Padre Pico and Heredia streets to Dolores Square. Trip continues by bus. Visit to el Morro Fortress, situated on a cliff at the entrance of Santiago’s harbor. Lunch in El Morro restaurant. Return to the hotel. At night dinner in the private restaurant Matamoros. Free time.

Day 9

TUESDAY
Santiago de Cuba/Baracoa

Breakfast. Departure to Baracoa. Transit visit to Guantanamo city. Visit to Tumba Francesa and Changui houses, where you could learn about typical rhythms brought by French immigrants from Haiti to Cuba. Lunch in Marti hotel. Trip continues to Baracoa. Accommodation and dinner in the selected hotel.

Day 10

WEDNESDAY
Baracoa

Breakfast. Panoramic tour through the city center Baracoa’s, the first Cuban village founded by Diego Velazquez in 1511 and also the first Cuban capital. Inside the Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion church is very old and authentic relic of the Parra Cross brought to Cuba by Christopher Columbus in 16 th century, which is considered to be the oldest symbol of Christian religion in Cuba. Visit to the Matachin fortress Municipality Museum and then bus tour to Baracoa’s countryside visiting Duaba farm, where you could enjoy exuberant local flora with its cacao plantations. Taste a cup of local drink named Chorote. Excursion by boat along the widest Cuban river Toa in Cuchillas del Toa Natural Park, Biosphere Reserve. Enjoy a typical creole lunch in Rancho Toa restaurant. Walking tour around Rancho Toa farm to get in touch with local flora and to know about the local people’ customs, traditions, houses’ construction, means of transportation, their traditional food, the main agriculture products such as cacao and coco nuts. Return to the hotel. Farewell dinner at El Castillo hotel restaurant. Night free.

Day 11

THURSDAY
Baracoa/ Havana

Transfer to Baracoa’s airport. Check in for the domestic flight CU 827 arriving to Havana at 12:00 o’clock. Flight time - 2 hours and 15 minutes.

End of tour.
